Expedition Commander
Captain Salazar Velázquez de Silva
Grave Lord
Once a noble in a kingdom long since lost, Don Salazar Velázquez de Silva comes to Thyria in search of an impossible prize: freedom from the curse in his blood and the yoke of Nagash. At the head of his ancient retainers and hired blades, he ventures into the blighted deeps seeking power enough to claim his fate as his own.

Expedition Lore
Guardianes de la Casa de Silva
Barrow Guard
Long dead retainers of House de Silva, these warriors served Salazar in life and followed him into death. Time has stripped away their names and voices, but not their oath to their lord.
Sangre Maldita
Vargheists
Once proud members of Salazar’s own bloodline, the Sangre Maldita have long since surrendered to the hunger in their blood. Salazar keeps his fallen kin close, both as weapons and as warnings of what awaits should his own will finally fail.
Mesnada de la Rosa Sangrienta
Blood Knights
A brotherhood of mercenary vampire knights who have joined Salazar’s expedition for their own ends. They care little for his promised salvation, seeking instead worthy foes, bloody glory and whatever treasures Thyria might surrender.
Diego Urraca
Wight Lord on Skeletal Steed
Diego Urraca was Master-at-Arms of House de Silva and Salazar’s first teacher in the arts of war. Centuries after their kingdom fell, the old master still rides beside his former pupil, his duty enduring long beyond death.
Los Compañeros Valientes
Barrow Knights
Once the finest riders of House de Silva, the Compañeros Valientes were trained and commanded by Diego Urraca. They ride beneath their old master still, the last remnant of the martial brotherhood that once guarded Salazar’s house.
La Jauría
Fell Bats
Great carrion beasts kept by Salazar’s household for the hunt. In Thyria they range ahead of the expedition, circling above the corrupted canopy before descending upon whatever their master has marked as prey.
